Mumbai Division achieves INR 100 crore landmark from ticket checking fines.

Central Railway (CR) has achieved a landmark in ticket checking performance with earnings with over ₹300 crore by penalising 46.32 lakh cases in FY 2022-23.

Central Railway (CR) has achieved a landmark in ticket checking performance with earnings with over ₹300 crore by penalising 46.32 lakh cases in FY 2022-23.

This is the first time that any Zonal Railway has achieved this milestone. In the last financial year also Central Railway had earned ₹214.41 crore and stood first amongst all Zonal Railways.

Division-wise collection of fine:

Mumbai Division has also crossed ₹100 crore landmark and earned ₹ 108.25 crore from 19.57 lakh cases.
Pune Division has earned ₹24.27 crore from 3.36 lakh cases.
Nagpur Division has earned ₹39.70 crore from 6.16 lakh cases.
• Bhusawal Division has earned ₹70.02 crore from 9.06 lakh cases.
Solapur Division has earned ₹33.36 crore from 5.27 lakh cases.
• PCCM Squad has earned ₹24.65 crore from 2.91 lakh cases.

Central Railway also has the distinction of having 20 ticket checkers who have individually made receipts of more than o­ne crore, which is highly commendable.

The top 3 grossers of Ticket checkers are:
1. D. Kumar - TTI/HQ - 22847 cases/Amount – ₹ 2,11,07,865/-
2. S. B. Galande- TTI /HQ - 22384 cases/Amount – ₹ 1,97,87,470/-
3. Sunil D Nainani - TTI /BB - 18165 cases/Amount – ₹ 1,59,98,190/-

To ensure comfortable travel & better services to all bonafide rail users, Central Railway conducts intensive ticket checking in Suburban, Mail Express, Passenger services, and special trains across all its divisions to curb ticketless and irregular travel. Central Railway appeals to the passengers to travel with proper and valid railway tickets in order to avoid inconvenience and travel with dignity.
