Half hearted work is often the hallmark of the city's civic administration. A gutter currently being repaired at Chira Bazaar’s Guzder Lane, had its lids replaced. During this work, old gutter lids were replaced with new lids. However, the workers forgot to clear the old lids from the site. The debris is now causing inconvenience to pedestrians.
Residents have demanded that civic officials should clear the road of the old gutter lids. It has been two weeks, but the lids continue to lie on the road. “This is causing traffic jams on the road and can be fatal for bike riders,” said a local resident Abdul Makani.
