Kokri - From past 25 years, there is an open gutter in the premise of the transit camp in Kokri. The gutter is 300m long and is surrounded by dirt and waste. Likewise, every year the gutter will be cleaned under the supervision of civic workers. The tenants are demanding the construction of the gutter, as this has become a cause of concern from past many years. The transit camp is under Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority(Mhada) and the body has not taken any action. While speaking to Mumbai Live, Kachru Yadav (Ward Head, SC category) told,"The gutter will be ready in next six months, RCC cement have been used for the construction of the gutter."
