Four people are feared to be trapped in Bhandup’s Patilwadi area when part of a public toilet collapsed. The incident took place around 6:00 am in the morning and police officials have identified the two deceased as Lobaben Jetwa (42) and Babulal Dewase (45).
The portion of the public toilet that collapsed was part of 20 toilets at the Sai Sadan Chawl in Bhandup.
A team of National Disaster Response Force along with their dog squad reached the site to locate people trapped under the debris.
A case of accidental death had been registered and further investigation into the cause of the toilet collapse was underway.
