Excitement is high in Mumbai, as many residents from the central division of the city are keen about the new Rajdhani Express which is scheduled to on Central Railway. Bookings for the same opened on Friday, and as per reports, all the seats were booked within five hours of the process.

Sharing the news, Central Railway Chief Public Relation Officer Sunil Udasi said that within five hours, all seats were reserved. Western Railway (WR) runs two Rajdhani trains on the Mumbai-Delhi route and both are in high demand. He further added that having one more Rajdhani on the central line will bring relief to the commuters travelling on that route

.The first journey of the train is scheduled to run on Saturday, between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) station and Delhi's Hazrat Nizamuddin station. The bi-weekly express will stop at Kalyan, Nasik Road, Jalgaon, Bhopal, Jhansi, and Agra Cantt stations, and the departure for the same from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus station (CSTM) will be on every Wednesday and Saturday around 2:50 pm. It will reach Hazrat Nizamuddin on Thursdays and Sundays around 10:20 am. The return from Hazrat Nizamuddin station is scheduled every Thursday and Sunday around 4:15 pm and the train will reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus station around 11:55 am on Fridays and Mondays.

The train has a total of 756 seats that includes 24 seats for first AC, 156 for two-tier AC and 576 seats for three-tier AC.
