On the orders of Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, CIDCO Corporation inaugurated Navi Mumbai Metro 1 route on Balasaheb Thackeray's memorial day on 17 November. Therefore, CIDCO Corporation has decided to once again inaugurate Navi Mumbai Metro 1 Line by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 12. So far, more than seven and a half lakh passengers have travelled by this metro.


Will inaugurate online

Belapur to Pendhar Metro will be inaugurated online by Prime Minister Modi on January 12 from the pavilion of Navi Mumbai International Airport Project in Ulwe. Modi will inaugurate various government projects. Chief Minister Shinde had already made it clear that Navi Mumbai Metro is also included in this.


Navi Mumbai Metro was started on November 17 on the instructions of the Chief Minister considering the interests of passengers. Till now Metro has earned an income of INR 2 crore. After 12 years, the dream of Navi Mumbaikars to travel by metro came true.

The metro journey from Taloja to Belapur takes 15 minutes. CIDCO has spent INR 2,954.14 crore for the Navi Mumbai Metro project. There are 11 metro stations on Metro No. 1 route. Belapur, Kharghar Central Park and Pendhar stations receive a large number of passengers. The ticket prices of this Navi Mumbai Metro are higher than Mumbai Metro. Passengers demand that these should be reduced after inauguration.
