Power cut is not a common problem in some parts of Mumbai and the citizens living in Western suburbs are not used to this issue, however, residents from Central Mumbai face power cuts on a regular basis. Similar issue was faced in the evening on Thursday, March 25, 2021, when people from the central part of Dadar and Matunga faced power cut due to the 'feeder tripping' issue.

It is said that the ones who were affected were customer receiving the connection from Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST).

Addressing the complaints, an official from BEST informed that authorities were looking into the matter and engineers were deployed for the same. The electricity supply was expected to be restored in half an hour.

Similar issue was faced on March 19, 2021, when the feeder tripped disconnecting the supply across several areas in Nariman Point. The concern reported on Thursday was the second time when the people faced this issue due to feeder tripping this week.
