Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has proposed a ring road to connect the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) to various locations. The road will link Kalamboli, Taloja, Dombivli, Kalyan, Bhiwandi, and Thane. The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) will soon provide a project report.

During his tour of Kalyan, Dombivli, and Ulhasnagar, the chief minister kicked off several projects. These include a six-story parking structure in Kalyan, a 190-bed super specialty hospital in Ulhasnagar, and a 25-acre public park on the Waldhuni riverbank.

Shrikant Shinde, the son of the chief minister, represents the Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency. It has been noted that a total of six projects have been launched in this constituency.

Interestingly, 10 days ago, a shocking incident occurred at the Ulhasnagar police station. Mahesh Gaikwad, a close aide to Shrikant and a former corporator, was shot by BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad. This led to multiple accusations against Shinde.

Shinde announced that the state has received INR 4,000 crore from the Asian Development Bank to enhance its healthcare system.

Under the Central Government's Smart City initiative, a park in Kalyan West was built for INR 69.66 crore by Smart Kalyan Dombivli Development Corporation (SKDCL). This park is said to be one of the largest parks in Maharashtra.

Shinde also unveiled an 85,000-square foot multi-level parking structure. The structure includes six stories, a ground floor, and a basement. It is served by two lifts and will connect to a flyover on the fourth story.

The CM digitally signed off nine electric buses and unveiled a fire brigade office in Kalyan. He also handed over keys to tenements constructing fundamental services to the Urban Poor initiative.

During a meeting at the Sahyadri Guest House, Shinde listened to the grievances of locals impacted by Vadhavan Port. He assured them that the state government would address their interests.
