Right to Education conducts its second phase of lottery by BMC's Education Department

Under the Free and Compulsory Education Right to Children Act (RTE), the second phase was carried out on Friday by the Municipal Education Department. According to the second phase, 1664 seats have been filled. So, now 3660 seats have been filled out of 7449, so that still 3,789 seats are still vacant. These vacancies are to be filled by April.

In this lottery draw 679 seats filled for the SSC Board, and 633 seats for the first class thus filled 1312 seats that took place on Friday the same for the pre-primary. At the same time, 277 seats for the first class of the other board, 72 for this pre-primary has been filled up with 349 seats.

After getting the lottery draw on Friday, Sudhir Paranjpe, the Education department's Assistant Education Rescue Advisor, alleged. He said that in the second phase of the lottery draw, there were also names which were in the second phase. In this way, it is a major mistake of the education department.

He also said that all under the Right To Education (RTE) every student should get admission but there are very few seats according to the lottery draw. Because of which a large number of students are left away from getting an education.
