The Mumbai Traffic Police on Tuesday, April 25, has announced the closure of south bound service road of Eastern Express Highway (EEH), from Airoli Junction till Ghatkopar Pant Nagar for vehicular movement. This will come into effect from tomorrow, April 26 to July 31.
An official statement issued by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Eastern Suburb Traffic, Mumbai, mentioned that due to large number of citizens using sound bound service road of EEH from Airoli Junction till Ghatkopar Pant Nagar for morning walk, the road is closed for vehicular movement from 5 am to 7.30 am.

During the same period, vehicles also proceed from service road. So, there might be minor or major accidents. Therefore, it is necessary to make changes in vehicular movement for the safety of people.
Therefore, in order to prevent danger, obstruction and inconvenience to the public in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under section 115 of Motor Vehicles Act 1988 (Act No. 59 of 1988) read with Government Notification do hereby order as under:
Road Closure:
All type of vehicular movement is prohibited on Service road South Bound of Eastern Express Highway from Airoli Junction to Ghatkopar Pant Nagar between 05.00 am to 07.30 am.
Alternate Route:
During the same period all type of Vehicles shall proceed from main road.
