It is a part of a broader plan to set up 100 such benches across Mumbai. The other locations include Shivaji Park, Coastal Road Promenade and several other colleges.
Ability to connect 100 mobile phones or laptops to the Internet
This smart bench is equipped with many features. It has an inbuilt Wi-Fi router, which has the ability to connect 100 mobile phones or laptops to the Internet simultaneously. With this, students and professors will be able to easily use the Internet for their studies and research.
Apart from this, the bench also has the facility of wireless charging and USB ports among other features.
It also uses a special algorithm that stores extra battery power on sunny days. This means that the facilities on this bench will continue to run without interruption even on cloudy or low-sunlight days, making it reliable and useful for all seasons.
