Mumbai - The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Corporation (MMRDA) has decided to issue tender notices for three of its parking spaces in ‘G’ Block of the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC). The tender will be issued on February 10, informed additional MMRDA commissioner Pravin Darade. The MMRDA wants to start these parking facilities as soon as possible and hence time limit of only two days will be given to fill up the tenders. The tenders will be opened on February 12. It means the issue of parking will be resolved on Monday. It is to be mentioned here that the MMRDA had earlier issued tenders thrice but it had not received any response from the contractors. This aggravated the issue which forced the development agency to close these parking facilities. After Mumbai Live’s report in this regard, the MMRDA has started taking this issue seriously and provided free parking service. It would not be possible for MMRDA to continue the free parking if it fails to attract any contractor for managing parking spaces in the BKC. Meanwhile, Darade made it clear that the decision in this regard as per the rules.
