The Disability Welfare Department is implementing the campaign 'Divyangachya Dari' by the state government so that the  differently abled can benefit from various schemes and do not have to visit the government offices to get the documents they need. The campaign will be held in Thane district on Friday, September 1 at Shiv Samarth Vidyalaya in Thane. The district administration has appealed to the maximum number of persons with disabilities in the urban as well as rural areas of the district to participate in this campaign.

Various schemes of the state government have been started in the past years for the all-round development of the differently-abled persons and to provide them with employment. However, frequent visits to government offices are required to avail these schemes. Often a person cannot afford frequent visits to government offices. So, sometimes they are not able to avail the benefits of these schemes as they do not have the documents required to avail these schemes.
