The stock of Covaxin vaccine has been made available to Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) from the state government and Covaxin vaccination will start from tomorrow, Wednesday February 08, 2023, in civic-run nine health centers. Thane Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar has appealed to the beneficiaries who have not yet been vaccinated to take advantage of this vaccination.

The vaccination drive will start at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital, Parking Plaza, Kisan Nagar Health Centre, Manpada Health Centre, Shila Health Centre, CR, Wadia Health Centre, Lokmanya Korus Health Centre, Rosa Gardenia Health Centre, and Thane Municipal Kausa Hospital in Kalwa.

Also, the beneficiaries between 15 to 18 years of age will get the first and second dose and the citizens above 18 years of age will be given the first, second and booster doses of Covaxin vaccine. Those who have not been vaccinated and those who have not yet received any dose of the vaccine should get vaccinated, appealed Bangar.

Even though Corona is under control in India, it is not over yet. Apart from India, Corona patients are being found in large numbers in other countries. However, as a precautionary measure, the municipal corporation has appealed to the citizens to get vaccinated.
