Drain cleaning works have been started at the work front in Thane municipal area. During the inspection, Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Rao expressed the determination to complete these works by May 31.

During the inspection tour held on Tuesday, Commissioner Rao first saw the drain cleaning work at Anand Nagar. A part of this drain falls within the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) limits. At this time, information was given that the cleaning work is being done in coordination with them. After that, the commissioner saw the cleaning of the drain behind the Dnyansadhana College, which is near the railway line. A large amount of silt has been removed from this drain. Commissioner Rao suggested that although it is challenging to clean the area under the railway track, that work should be done properly.
