The Thane Municipal Parks Department and Vrikshapradhikaran are organising Vrikshavalli-2025, a spectacular exhibition showcasing trees, flowers, fruits, and saplings. The event will take place from Friday, February 14, to Sunday, February 16, at Raymond Company Grounds, Pokhran Road, with the inauguration scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on February 14.
Now in its 14th year, Vrikshavalli attracts nearly 1.5 to 2 lakh visitors annually. This year’s theme, ‘Saptarang of Biodiversity’, will highlight around 5,000 plants, including 200 species of flowers, fruit-bearing plants, colorful flowering and foliage plants, and medicinal plants.
The exhibition features 15 private organizations, including MCHI, Hiranandani Group, Adani Group, Lodha Group, and Raymond Group, along with Rotary Club, Innerville Club, Environment Vigilance Forum, and Maharashtra Nature Park. Additionally, 30 local schools have contributed artistic displays on nature, and 30 citizens are showcasing cut flowers and floral arrangements. Government bodies like Central Railway and HPCL are also participating.

A total of 90 organizations have come together to present stunning floral displays, nature-themed exhibits, and butterfly photography, making the exhibition both entertaining and educational. The event will feature 30 sections and sub-sections, including Potted Ornamental Leaf Trees, Flowering Shrubs, Orchids, Seasonal Flowers, and Cut Flowers.
This year’s special attractions include live nature painting, a tree-climbing demonstration by experts, and a heritage tree trail. Additionally, 40 stalls will sell horticultural products such as bamboo-based items, naturally fertilized vegetables, and hydroponics technology products.
The prize distribution ceremony for various competitions organized during Vrikshavalli-2025 will be held on Sunday, February 16, at 6:00 p.m.
Visitors are urged to avoid using plastic bottles and bags. Instead, the Thane Municipal Corporation encourages attendees to carry steel or glass water bottles and use paper or cloth bags for shopping.
