In 1911, the organisation 'The Social Service League' was established. This organisation, a pioneer in various social activities, established the Damodar Theater in 1922 to give a platform to the working class artists of Mumbai. The Damodar theatre building, its seats and the school building was in damaged state due to the accumulated rain water.
