On behalf of the Department of Women and Child Development of the Government of Maharashtra, the scheme 'Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin' has been started. In order for this scheme to reach far and wide and maximum women can benefit from it, as per the instructions of Thane Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Rao, help rooms have been started at all ward committee levels of Thane Municipal Corporation.
Additional Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Prashant Rode has been appointed as Nodal Officer for the scheme of 'Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin' to be done in a well-planned and speedy manner.

A joint meeting of Assistant Commissioner, Assistant Project Officer of Thane Municipal Corporation Ward Committees was recently held by Nodal Officer and Additional Commissioner Prashant Rode. In this meeting, all the officers and employees were informed about the 'Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin' Scheme. In terms of women's empowerment, it was mentioned in this meeting that work should be done in such a way that no eligible women in the Municipal Corporation area should be deprived of benefiting from this scheme.
Deputy Commissioner (Social Development Department) Angha Kadam informed that as per the directives of Municipal Commissioner Saurabh Rao, arrangements have been made to distribute and receive applications in the help room created at the ward committee level and the process of uploading them to the online app through Anganwadi helpers and workers is underway.
Eligible women under this scheme will receive an amount of INR 1500 per month on DBT basis in an Aadhaar linked account. Also, through other financial benefit schemes of the Central and State Governments. If the benefit is less than INR 1500, the difference amount will be given to the eligible woman through this scheme. Arrangements will be made in every ward committee and help service center to make it easier for women to fill the application along with benefiting all the eligible needy women of the scheme. Commissioner Saurabh Rao has appealed that a maximum number of needy women should take advantage of this scheme.
