To deal with congestion on Dr. Annie Besant Road, the Mumbai Traffic Police has issued a permanent order designating a section of the road in Worli as a "No-Parking Zone". Dr. Annie Besant Road is a crucial link, connecting Worli Sea Face to other roads in south Mumbai and the western suburbs. However, it is well-known that the road has been facing the problem of heavy traffic for a long time.

One of the major contributors to the congestion on Dr. Annie Besant Road has been the parking of cars alongside the road. This narrows the already limited road space and creates bottlenecks.

While efforts are being made to address congestion on Dr. Annie Besant Road, the progress of the Coastal Road project is also a significant factor in alleviating traffic woes in the area. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)'s ambitious Coastal Road project will provide a new and efficient transportation route along the city's coastline. However, the project is still in its early stages. The construction of the tunnel between Marine Lines and Worli is underway.

The Coastal Road project is set to partially open in December, with only one side of the route accessible to traffic. However, the completion of connectors between the Coastal Road and Bandra Worli Sea Link (BWSL), as well as the construction of arms for the Worli and Haji Ali interchanges, will take longer.
