Two unidentified bags found at Dadar railway station on Friday evening, December 30, had triggered a bomb scare. The bags were found near a ticket counter. Notably, panic gripped after the bag was spotted.

According to reports, the police received information about two suspicious bags near a ticket counter at around 6 pm. Soon after, Railway Police along with city police were deployed at the spot.

Later, upon receiving the information, Mumbai police’s bomb detection and disposal squads also reached the spot.

However, this turned out to be false alarm as nothing suspicious was found inside the bag during investigation. It was an empty bag, said the bomb squad officials.

"Police Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad has investigated the bag found at the ticket counter of Mumbai's Dadar railway station and nothing suspicious has been found inside it," CPRO, Central Railway said as quoted by news agency ANI.
