
Following the recent blast in Delhi, police officials have declared a high alert across Vasai-Virar and the entire Palghar district.
Security has been tightened at railway stations and bus depots, with additional police personnel deployed to monitor the situation closely. Dog squads have been stationed to inspect trains and passenger belongings, while police teams are checking suspicious vehicles, luggage, and individuals at multiple locations.
As part of enhanced security measures, hotels, lodges, and public spaces are also under close surveillance. Trains arriving at and departing from Vasai, Virar, Nalasopara, Palghar, and Boisar stations are being thoroughly inspected, and passenger luggage is being carefully screened.
Although some commuters reported inconvenience due to the lengthy checks, authorities emphasised that these precautions are essential for public safety.
Additional police forces have been posted at all major railway platforms, keeping a strict watch across every corner. Patrols have also been increased near temples, shopping malls, and other crowded areas to prevent any potential security threat.
Officials assured citizens that these steps are preventive measures to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of the region.
