The Vasai-Virar City Municipal Corporation (VVCMC) has announced a seven-day water supply disruption under the Surya Yojana.
The shutdown will begin from April 4 and continue until April 10 to facilitate technical work linked to the second phase of the project.
The move is expected to impact daily water availability across several parts of the city.
According to the schedule, different areas will face a 24-hour water cut on specific days. Each affected area will experience a full day shutdown between 10 am and 10 am the following day, depending on the schedule assigned.
Virar East and West, Nalasopara East and West, and Navghar Vasai are among the zones that will see supply interruptions on a rotational basis.

The civic body has assured that normal supply will resume once the technical work is completed, and efforts are being made to minimise inconvenience during the transition.
Authorities have urged residents to store water in advance and use it sparingly during the disruption period. Citizens have also been advised to cooperate with civic officials and avoid wastage.
