Thousands of liters of water was wasted in front of Shiv Sena Bhavan, as a pipe broke due to the ongoing metro work. The water pipe burst at around 8:30 PM near a house on Gokhale Road close Shivsena Bhawan. Immediately after receiving information about this incident, the water supply in the area was stopped by closing the main valve, in order to avoid more wastage.
According to information received from the concerned department, workers have been asked to work on the water channel. The supply has been stopped and will only resume on Saturday morning after the issue is solved. with the recovery of it.
Further, Assistant Commissioner Ashok Khairnar said that the repair cost will be recovered from the company working on the Metro line.
