According to the latest reports, on Tuesday, March 1, a water pipeline burst in Andheri on the Link Road near Citi Mall. This reportedly led to immense traffic congestion and also impacted the water supply at Mumbai's Andheri and its nearby areas. Additionally, a citizen's group took to Twitter to share visuals from the incident.

Owing to this burst on the Walawalkar road, the water supply on Veera Desai Road was cut off. Narratives have quoted officials from the K-West Ward who elaborated that an 18 inches water mainline had leaked on Tuesday at around 9 am. Thus, the water supply was curtailed.

Based on accounts, officials have stated that regular water supply will recommence by Wednesday, March 2 morning with repair works being conducted.

On the other hand, the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) had diverted some of its buses on the opposite lane considering some sections of the road caved in because of the leak.

The authority took to Twitter, saying, "Near Citi mall, Lokhandwala Junction Link Road towards Andheri (down direction) Road caved in, hence buses of Route A32, C33,A235,A268,242,223, 224,210,241,259,C12,454 operated via up direction lane. No Diversion of vehicular traffic."

However, narratives claim that vehicular traffic diversion did not transpire.
