Mumbai police have detained a 19-year-old Nanded resident, Shripad Kamlakar Gorathkar, for threatening to bomb the Mumbai.

The teenager's reaction was in response to a fine imposed by the local police, which he believed to be unfair. Frustrated Gorathkar, resorted to making threats.

The incident unfolded on Tuesday, May 23, when Gorathkar was taken into custody and brought to the Azad Maidan police station. According to a police official, the teenager was visibly angry and upset with the Nanded police, who had punished him and seemingly disregarded his complaint.

The official further revealed that Gorathkar had recently completed his 12th Std and was currently preparing for the CA (Chartered Accountant) examination. A formal complaint has been filed against Gorathkar under section 506(2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Azad Maidan police station.

Interestingly, prior to Gorathkar's threats on Twitter, Mumbai police received a distressing call regarding a potential city attack like the tragic 26/11 incident. The authorities promptly traced the call to Rajasthan, resulting in the detention of another individual by the Rajasthani police. However, further investigation revealed that the detained person was mentally disturbed.
