Two people, including a woman worker, have been killed and six others were injured in a massive blast that occurred on Wednesday late night in a chemical factory located in Khapoli area of Raigad district adjoining Mumbai.
The explosion took place in a company in Jawal Sajgav of Khapoli area of Raigad district. The impact of the explosion caused damage to nearby houses.
According to PTI, the explosion took place around 2.30 am following which a fire broke out in the premises.
At least 16 fire engines have reached on the spot fighting to douse the fire. The injured were immediately rushed to a civic-run hospital in Khopoli.
