In a significant development, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) recently took Sayyed Armaan into custody following allegations of espionage and connections with Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The arrest was made in Jogeshwari, Mumbai.

Shockingly, it was discovered that he had been sharing sensitive information with the ISI through his nephew, Sayyad Muzzakkir Muddasar Hussain, who is based in Pakistan.

According to sources, Armaan, aged 65, was found to be in possession of crucial data and photographs of military installations in Uttar Pradesh. The investigation uncovered that Hussain, also known as Munna Jhingada, recruited Armaan and another individual named Mohamad Raees to carry out terrorist activities in Uttar Pradesh. Jhingada is a notorious hitman linked to mobster Dawood Ibrahim.

All three hail from the Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh. During questioning, Raees reportedly confessed that he had been living in Mumbai with Armaan. He was working as a carpenter and planning to seek better opportunities in Saudi Arabia. However, Armaan offered him an opportunity to make quick money and connected him with Jhingada.

ATS teams from Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh detained Armaan and a man named Mohamad Salman Siddhique, 25, at their Jogeshwari home. According to the police, Armaan would employ Siddhique to send Raees his share of the money. Jhingada frequently paid Armaan to recruit potential operatives for the ISI.

Jhingada has a long history of criminal activity. He gained notoriety for the shooting incident involving Chhota Rajan in Bangkok in 2000. Despite being detained by Bangkok police, he managed to escape using a false identity. This led to a legal battle between India and Thailand. The authorities failed to ascertain his true identity, resulting in his deportation to Pakistan in 2019.

Jhingada had also committed a murder during his college days at Ismail Yusuf College. There, he reportedly killed a fellow student who had attacked a classmate. Subsequently, he was detained by the Meghwadi police. The years between 1994 and 1997 saw him involved in multiple murders before fleeing to Dubai.
