Coronavirus cases in the state have been increasing at a significant rate, and the government has been taking measures to curb the spread of the infection. As per reports, more than 6000 patients in the state have been benefited so far from the 'e-Sanjeevani OPD' program. This was launched to help the citizens seek online medical check-ups during the lockdown, and at present, the OPD also functions twice a day for the convenience of the citizens. Earlier, online counselling was being given from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm, but now it has been extended from 3 pm to 5 pm.

The mobile application of the online e-Sanjeevani OPD program was developed and launched four months back, in April, on an experimental basis. It was then implemented full time in May. It is available for Android devices and is benefiting the smartphone users.

Officials have asked the patients to check the website www.esanjeevaniopd.in and seek expert's advice whenever needed. Further, medical advice and treatment for any ailment can be obtained from any district of the state with the medical officers of any district. The program has benefitted over 6,072 people across the state.

One can download the app here and follow the procedure: Enter the OTP sent after the registration, and fill the patient details. Documents and reports related to the illness should be uploaded by requesting the token. The patient will then receive the identification number and token number via SMS, which needs to be used for the login. After the quick confirmation,, patients will be able to get E-prescription immediately and can discuss further with the doctor.
