Ab Tak Chappan’s screenplay writer Ravi Shankar Alok commits suicide

As per the preliminary investigation report by Versova Police, the writer was suffering from depression and was undergoing psychiatric treatment.

Bollywood movie Ab Tak Chappan’s screenplay writer Ravi Shankar Alok allegedly committed suicide in Mumbai on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old screenplay writer used to stay in Andheri, Seven Bungalows area. At 2:00 pm in the afternoon, he jumped from the roof of Vasant Prakash Society, where he lived and ended his life, a police official said.

When police interrogated the society’s watchman he said, “The terrace is usually locked. I don’t know how Alok gained access to the area,” as quoted in Mumbai Mirror.

As per the preliminary report, the writer was suffering from depression and was undergoing psychiatric treatment. However, the officer mentioned that no suicide note was found near his body or in his house. Versova police are conducting further investigations.
