According to reports, on Tuesday morning, February 15, at least four men were killed after a truck rammed into their car on Mumbai-Pune expressway.

Meanwhile, in the incident, a total of seven people have been injured out of which four people have been severely injured and three have suffered minor injuries. Whereas the four people in the car were killed on the spot.

Officials stated that after a speeding truck lost control and collided with several vehicles stuck in slow traffic in Bhor ghat near Khopoli area at 6:30 am. The deceased men from Solapur were travelling in their Maruti Swift car towards Mumbai along the Mumbai-Pune expressway.

The collision led to a pile up as four vehicles including a tempo, car and two containers, crashed one behind the other.

The four severely injured people in a tempo were taken to Khopoli civic hospital for treatment.

The traffic snarl in the Bhor ghat was due to a truck parked on the first lane after it's tyre deflated. Hence, there was traffic congestion for about 5km on the Mumbai lane.
