Bharatiya Janta Party's MLA, Randheer Savarkar and MP Sanjay Dhotre's son Anup from Akola are booked in the case of not clearing the pending bill of Rs 6.5 crore and threatening a civic contractor. The case is registered with Vikhroli Police Station.
Sachin Kale, the resident of Airoli filed the case against five which includes MLA Savarkar, Anup Dhotre and their associates, Balwant Malle, Prakash Pohre and Srikesh Pohre.
The contractor signed an agreement for redevelopment of a housing society in Vikhroli. Kale stated that he was manhandled when he went to meet the accused to get the bill cleared.
