
According to officials, the threatening email claimed that a bomb had been planted inside the legislative complex. The message was received while proceedings of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly were taking place, raising immediate concerns for the safety of lawmakers, staff members, and visitors.
After the threat was reported, the Mumbai Police quickly intensified security around the building. Bomb detection and disposal squads, along with sniffer dog units, were deployed to thoroughly search the premises.
As a precautionary measure, people inside the complex were evacuated while authorities conducted detailed inspections of the building and surrounding areas.
Officials later indicated that the threat was likely a hoax, as no suspicious objects or explosives were discovered during the search. However, security checks were carried out carefully to avoid any risk.
Police have now launched an investigation to trace the origin of the threatening email and identify the person responsible for sending it.
