A man has been booked for repeatedly raping a Navi Mumbai woman over the past two years. Kamote police station officer said the woman works in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), while the man is a resident of Ahmednagar.
A man has been booked for repeatedly raping a 25-year-old Navi Mumbai woman by blackmailing to defame her, a police officer said on Monday, February 19. Kamote police station official said the woman has lodged a complaint with the BMC.
As per the complaint, the man and woman developed a friendship, after which he raped her several times between October 2022 and January this year. He exploited her by threatening to defame her.
A case has been registered for rape on Saturday, February 17, but are yet to arrest the accused.
