The longest running TV show in India may have explored and cracked all kinds of burglaries and murders, but an innovative burglar has now given the producers of the show some more food for thought.
Mumbai police say unknown persons broke into the Juhu apartment of producer of CID Pradeep Uppoor on Friday and made away with belongings worth Rs 12 lakh. Uppoor's wife who entered the flat in in Silver Beach Apartments a while later, says she found jewellery and cash missing. A FIR has been registered at the Juhu police station.
The police were informed that Rs 9 lakh in cash and over Rs 3 lakh in jewellery were stolen. Police are scanning the CCTV footage of the premises to find the clues in connection with the theft. Since the building is under renovation and scaffolding has been put up, the police suspect that the thieves must have used the bamboos as a step ladder to get into the house.
Now, this should be an easy one for ACP Pradyuman to crack. Will the Mumbai police act just as swiftly?
