In response to the Sessions Court’s charge of abetment of Jiah Khan’s suicide, the prosecution recently submitted a list of 69 witnesses who are to be summoned. Among the witnesses, the first to be examined is Rabiya Khan, victim’s mother and the complainant herself

In February 2018, the court had charged Suraj Pancholi, Jiah's ex-partner with abetment of her suicide. In further series of events, Suraj had pleaded not guilty to the charges. The next hearing for the same is now scheduled on March 21.

Jiah Khan, an upcoming Bollywood actress was found dead in her Juhu apartment on June 3, 2013, which resulted in the arrest of Suraj Pancholi, charged with abetment. He was later released on bail by the High Court. But in 2015, a CBI report accused Pancholi of abetment, which stated that Jiah had a fight with Pancholi, an hour prior to her suicide.
