Dombivli youth cheated of ₹33 lakhs through online transactions

A young man here has been cheated of 33 lakhs by con men through online transactions. In this case, the Manpada police have registered a case under the Information and Technology Act on Wednesday based on the complaint of the youth. This fraud has happened in the last two months. The name of the complainant is Hemanshu Harshad Kumar Shah (40, MIDC, Dombivli).


Last month, the conmen contacted the complainant Hemanshu. By giving them information about online transactions, he was lured that if he invested in this transaction, he would get double money instantly. As the money was initially received, Hemanshu invested a total of ₹33.28 lakh rupees in stages through online transactions.

This investment had to generate attractive returns. He stopped getting it. Hemanshu Shah was trying to get in touch with the conmen to get attractive interest and return of the principal amount. At first he responded to Hemanshu with minor reasons. He then stopped responding to the complainant. 


Hemanshu filed a complaint at the Manpada police station on Wednesday after he was convinced that he was cheated by conmen. Over 100 cases of fraud have been committed online in Kalyan, Dombivli area in the last one year. Sub-Inspector of Police P. S. Gangurde is investigating.
