An 18-year-old youth fell to his death in the pump house while making a reel on a water supply pump house well in Chole area of Dombivli-Thakurli. This incident happened on Saturday. Firefighters worked tirelessly for two days and recovered the body of the young man on Monday evening.


Last month, a young man was killed when he was hit by a mail while making reels on the track in Thakurli railway station area. Thakurli, a 90-foot road outside Dombivli town, is on the creek, so many young men and women come to walk in this area in the morning and evening.

Police said the dead youth has been identified as Bilal Sohil Shaikh (18, resident of Mumbra). Bilal had come to Thakurli with two friends on Saturday evening. After visiting the old Kohl pumphouse in Thakurli area, Bilal wanted to make reels. The three did not expect that the pumphouse well would be very deep. Standing on the edge of the pumphouse well, Bilal lost his balance and fell into the pump house. There was no access to the well. Both the friends immediately went to Thakurli railway station and gave this information to the railway security personnel. The senior police inspector of Vishnu Nagar police station Pandharinath Bhalerao was immediately informed about this.


The Vishnu Nagar police immediately gave this information to the municipal fire brigade. Station officers of fire brigade team Ramchandra Mahala, Vinay Koinde, Rajesh Kasve, Kedar Marathe, women police constables searched for the young man in the pump house water all day on Saturday and Sunday but he was not found. On Monday, the search operation was again conducted throughout the day. In the evening, Bilal's body was found. Senior Police Inspector Pandharinath Bhalerao has appealed that the youth should not do any kind of risky activities on the railway line and along the creek.
