ED seizes properties of Serum Institute

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) took action against Zavarey Soli Poonawalla , the director of Serum Institute in Pune in the Panama Papers case. Some of Poonawall's dealings were found suspicious. The ED has taken action against him in this case and has seized three immovable properties worth INR 41.64 crore in CJ House in Mumbai. This action was taken under the FEMA Act.


According to a report by ANI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has booked Z. S. Poonawall and an investigation was conducted against Poonawalla  and his family members.

The ED has seized three immovable properties worth INR 41.64 crore from Poonawalla's CJ House in Worli, Mumbai, under the provisions of the FEMA Act. The case is being further investigated by the ED.
