The city police on Monday reported the case of selling fake tickets to the Indian Premier League match.Wankhede stadium is the 'home ground' of IPL team Mumbai XI. The team was playing against Royal Challengers Bangalore on 1 May.
The case of fake tickets has been not only reported from the city but from various cities which include Surat, Solapur and Kolhapur. 26 people became the victim of the fake ticket team. The victims claimed that they bought the tickets for prices ranging from Rs 800 – Rs 2,000. The report has been filed against the person who duped them off money in lieu of IPL ticket. Police are probing the case.
