But wait, what if the ticket checker himself is fake? In an incident that took place on Sunday at 11.45 pm, Chief Ticket Examiner Mehdi Krishna Butan was travelling in a CST local, when he nabbed a fake ticket checker.
Rahul Bhikaji Mandare was checking tickets in the first class compartment of the local train, Butan happened to be travelling in the same compartment. When Bhikaji asked for his ticket, Butan demanded an identity card. When Bhikaji started making excuses, Mehdi smelled a rat. After making the requsite inquiries, Mehdi handed the fake ticket checker over to the railway police.
