Underworld gangster Abu Salem has threatened to sue the makers of the Ranbir Kapoor-starrer ‘Sanju’, alleging that he has been defamed in the film made on Sanjay Dutt’s life.

The gangster sent a notice to director-producer Rajkumar Hirani and co-producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra through advocate Prashant Pandey. The notice states that the scene in the film showing Ranbir Kapoor (pictured as Sanjay Dutt) gives a confessional statement about possessing arms and ammunition during communal tension around our country in 1993 amounts to defaming Salem as he never supplied the arms and ammunition to Sanjay Dutt.
