Ghatkopar police received a missing report where a 62-year old handicapped man has gone missing.
Mohammed Rafiq Anwar Miran, a resident of Chira Nagar, Ghatkopar West, is physically handicapped. On June 23, Rafiq went missing after which the family panicked and started searching for him. However, after a while, someone found a suicide letter written by him which stated that he was going to commit suicide by jumping in the Vashi creek.
The family has filed a missing complaint with Ghatkopar police and has handed over the suicide note. In response, the police investigated and searched the Vashi bridge where they found Rafiq’s clothes.
Police filed the missing report but speculate that Rafiq may have committed suicide. However, they aren’t sure since the body hasn’t been found. They have also asked people to contact them if they spot Rafiq.
