Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) commissioner Bhausaheb Dangde has issued a show cause notice to 15 employees over a missing proposal file and funding concerns.

The officials submitted a plan for two well-maintained roadways at Phadke Ground and Mhasoba Ground in Kalyan (West) worth INR 7 crore, without any budgetary allocation in the civic budget. The proposal file is reportedly missing from the KDMC headquarters for about a week.

In response to the missing file, the commissioner suspended a security guard. The civic body chief discovered that no financial provisions had been made for the well-maintained roads, despite officials submitting a plan for seven crore rupees. The commissioner believes that a major scam was averted.

The concerned officials have been served with a show cause notice, asking them to explain their actions. Additional action will be taken in response to their response. The commissioner’s actions raise suspicions of corruption and misappropriation of funds.
