Accused of fraud and criminal conspiracy in IDBI Loan Default case filed by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Liquor Baron Vijay Mallya on Monday said that he will cooperate with court enforcement officers seeking to seize his assets in Britain. However, he claimed that there is not much to take away as his family residence is not his name.

India seeks Mallya‘s deportation from Britain to prosecute the Indian business tycoon as he ran away from the country and owes around ₹9,000 crores to Indian banks. According to his statements to Reuters, Mallya informed that he is willing to give away his assets in Britain but a residence which belongs to his children and a house in London belonging to his mother is “untouchable”.

“They can’t go one step beyond,”
asserted Mallya, saying that India is entitled to take and hand over his assets to the banks which are in his name declared on oath. “I have a few cars, a few items of jewellery and I will physically hand them over,” said Mallya in an affidavit filed in the UK court.
