In a disturbing and ghastly incident, a man allegedly strangled his wife to death in front of their two children in Mumbai's Goregaon (West).
On Monday morning, June 23, a man from Bhagat Singh Nagar, Goregaon murdered his wife due to suspicions about her fidelity.
Only a few hours after carrying out the offense, the suspect left the location. As per police sources, once they got the information regarding this brutal act, officials from the Bangur Nagar Police Station quickly hurried to the location.
Mumbai Police promptly acted on a tip-off and located the suspect in the Ram Mandir area, where he was arrested. Once apprehended, the suspect was placed under arrest.
According to reports, the Bangur Nagar police have filed a murder case under applicable sections of the BNS and are investigating the issue further.
In another incident, a 50-year-old tuition teacher was arrested in Thane, Maharashtra, for allegedly raping a 17-year-old student. The suspect, who previously held private tutoring sessions, reportedly lured the victim, a first-year BA student, under the pretense of discussing her career. He allegedly assaulted her multiple times between October 2023 and November 2024, both in his classroom and at her home, threatening severe consequences if she spoke out.
