A con man who cheated 22 young women by contacting them through a matrimonial website, was arrested by the Pydhonie Police (Mumbai) from Hyderabad. The accused has admitted in the interrogation that he married seven young women with the intention of cheating.


Some of them are also suspected to have been sexually assaulted by the accused. Imran Ali Khan is a native of Hyderabad and he has cheated many young women hailing from Mumbai, Dhule, Solapur, Parbhani, Kolkata, and Lucknow.


He has also married seven young women and robbed them of lakhs of rupees. Following a complaint by a 42-year-old woman, the Pydhonie police tracked him down and took him to Hyderabad. After that, in the police interrogation, he confessed to marrying seven times and extorting lakhs of rupees from them.

A 42-year-old female complainant created her profile on a matrimonial website in 2023. After that, she received some matches from the site. Likewise, she was informed about Imran Ali Khan from Hyderabad.



When the complainant contacted Imran, he told that he is associated with the construction business. Out of the blue, Imran called the woman on May 10, 2023 and told her that he had told his friends about you and now they want a party from you.


Saying this, Imran demanded one thousand rupees from the woman online. After a few days, the complainant asked Imran to come to Mumbai to meet his mother. At that time, he demanded INR 10,000 rupees from the woman to come to Mumbai, saying that his money was stuck somewhere.

After staying in Mumbai for a few days, the accused Imran Ali wanted to buy a plot in Byculla and for that he took INR 15 lakhs from the woman. After that, the police arrested him in connection with the purchase of forest department land and the accused took more money for that security and other things.


The complainant woman paid a total of INR 21 lakh 73 thousand to Imran Ali. The accused defrauded the woman financially without returning the said amount.


The accused is suspected to have cheated women from Parbhani, Dhule Solapur along with 10 to 12 girls from Mumbai. Sources said that the accused is also suspected of cheating women from Kolkata, Lucknow, Delhi and Dehradun. After checking the mobile phone of the accused, the police noticed that he was in contact with many other young women.
