The Crime Branch has arrested five persons for cheating many youths across the country by luring them with jobs in Gulf countries. The accused are residents of Bhiwandi in Uttar Pradesh and Thane. The accused took huge sums of money from the job seekers and gave them fake documents of employment. After that, they closed the office and ran away.


The accused had started a company named Bombay International Consultancy in the Bellard Pier area. The accused took money from 30 to 40 people including the complainant Bharat Koli by luring them jobs in Pasha Construction Company in Azerbaijan, Oman, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Russia through this company. Accused gave fake work visas of Azhar Baijan country, fake offer letter of Pasha company to the complainant and others to gain trust. In return, the accused took INR 20,000 to INR 60,000 from many people. As soon as they realised that the accused had cheated, they ushed to the office of the company. But the office of the company was found to be closed. The accused have also taken away the passports of many people and have demanded five to ten thousand rupees in return.

After a complaint in this matter, the MRA Marg Police registered a case against 12 persons including Amitesh Gupta from Uttar Pradesh, Faizan Sheikh, Mohammad Sheikh, Ramkumar Kushwaha from Bhiwandi for creating fake documents. A technical analysis of the accused was done in this case. The inter-state gang of the accused was found to be working in connivance from Delhi, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Bhiwandi and Mumbai. Therefore, a total of five police teams were formed under the guidance of the Joint Commissioner of Crime Branch Lakhmi Gautam and they were sent to Delhi, Lucknow, Gaya, Bhiwandi.


Police arrested five people in this case. The names of the arrested accused are Ramkripal Ramsevak Kushwah (45, Bhiwandi), Rohit Maheshwar Prasad Sinha (33, Mumbai), Ashish Kumar Mungeshwar Mahto (30, Delhi), Amitesh Shravankumar Gupta (40, Lucknow) and Rahul Kumar Shivan Chaudhary (22, Gaya). The accused were going to cheat the youth by setting up an office in the Andheri Sahar area of Mumbai. 63 passports of the youth, seven fake visas of Azerbaijan, stickers, documents, computer equipment and other materials were seized from the accused. The accused had been arrested earlier. Preliminary investigation has revealed that he cheated the youth while he was on bail.
