The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has raided 39 locations in Kolkata, Bhopal and Mumbai in the case related to M/s Mahadev's online book betting app and ED has informed that assets worth around INR 417 crore have been frozen or seized in this case. Saurabh Chandrakar, the promoter of this company, got married in February 2023 in UAE. ED's investigation has revealed that INR 200 crore was spent on this wedding ceremony. It is believed that 14 film actors and singers took money through hawala to perform at this wedding ceremony.
ED has raided 39 places in various states including Mumbai in this case. ED has raided locations related to Mahadev online betting app, including locations in Mumbai, Bhopal, Kolkata. Ravi Uppal and Saurabh Chandrakar, who are residents of Chhattisgarh, are the promoters of Mahadev Betting App and assets worth INR 417 crore have been seized in this operation. In this case, the veteran actors of the Hindi film industry are currently on the radar of ED and actors Tiger Shroff, Neha Kakkar, Sunny Leone, Krishna Abhishek, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Vishal Dadlani performed at the wedding in Dubai.

Apart from this, the names of Bharti Singh, Nusrat Bharucha, Atif Aslam have also been revealed in the investigation. Suspicious artists are suspected of accepting money through hawala. ED will soon question many of them to verify whether they knew about it. The ED investigation has revealed that the Hawala racket is being run through a person named Yogesh Popat. ED has found cash worth INR 18 lakh and gold and silver jewellery worth INR 13 crore from the house of a person named Govind Kedia.
