Yet another incident of stone pelting has come to light after a 26-year-old woman was injured in Mumbai local train on Sunday evening, November 13.

According to reports, an unidentified person threw stones at the woman commuter injuring her head while she was travelling in the ladies’ compartment of a Borivali-bound fast local train. However, railway officials said no such complaint had been reported.

The incident took place between Mahim and Bandra when she was returning home after boarding the train from Dadar at 7.28 pm. The victim is said to be a resident of Andheri.

Following the incident, Pratiksha Bansode tweeted with a picture of the stone.

As to why she did not complain to railway authorities, the Andheri resident said she went completely blank for a few minutes after being struck and hence decided to reach home as soon as possible. “I have been feeling pain and hence visited the doctor who advised me to take a day's rest due to swelling on the head. I will definitely register a complaint on Tuesday,” she told FPJ.

For those unversed, last week, on Wednesday, November 8, some unidentified persons threw stones at the suburban local train at Thane injuring three passengers. As per officials, the incident took place on Tuesday, November 7, at around 8 pm near Kalwa.
