A 15-year-old girl was molested in a train on Sunday night. The accused was caught and beaten up by the passengers and was admitted to the hospital. He will be arrested in this case after he is released from the hospital. The complainant girl was undergoing treatment at a hospital in South Mumbai.
She was on her way home with her father after being discharged from the hospital on Saturday. At that time, the accused, who was sitting next to her, touched her indecently. When he was confronted, he sexually assaulted her. The passengers then caught the accused and beat him up. He was then dropped at Andheri station.
The accused has been admitted to the hospital due to the beating. A case under molestation and POCSO Act has been registered in this matter and the accused will be arrested after being discharged from the hospital, the officer said.
